First opened in the 1920s The Wintergarden Theatre was a destination within Queen Street, remodelled in 1981 as a shopping centre and almost 100 years since construction Wintergarden continues to hold pride of place in the hearts of Brisbanites, as a shopping mecca within the Queen Street Mall.
Wintergarden was purchased in February 2003 by ISPT with the view to add value through development, a vision now apparent following the $100 million redevelopment in 2010 – 2012.
Featuring a 90m long three dimensional whimsical metal façade, studded with 24,000 LED lights, Wintergarden lights up the Queen Street mall each and every night.
