Prepare to adopt this hue into your wardrobe!

Annually, Pantone, releases their highly anticipated ‘Colour of the Year’ and in 2020 the colour choice is one I feel everyone should praise, Classic Blue. It is a calming and timeless colour with reassuring qualities that are sure to guide us into a new decade of elegant simplicity themed by the oceanic hue and our environmental awareness.

I will say it’s been hard to find that many wearable pieces in exactly the right shade right now, but you’ll find there is more to this colour than first meets the eye. In case you don’t already own any Classic Blue garments – or are looking to freshen up your wardrobe, scroll on through to soothe your fashion choices and to fall in love with blue again.

Even if you’re not getting all dressed up, Classic Blue is still the perfect hue to add to your everyday dress rotation. If you’re not convinced blue is your colour, opt for the colour amongst a pattern with blue undertones. It’s the perfect compromise and will look great when styled with contemporary accessories. The darker the nature of the hue the more slimming the pattern will be, the lighter, the more vibrant and energetic the look. Wearing Classic Blue on your top half only is the perfect way to dip your toes into the trend if you need a starting point.

Dinner parties, nights out on the town, weddings—there’s always a reason to wear a cute dress. A sundress is the secret weapon in every cool-weather wardrobe. The blue detail transforms an otherwise simple style into something that feels fresh and feminine – not to mention, super flattering or all body shapes.

The final thing I love about this colour comeback is that the hue conveys comfort and ease and looks chic when paired with other bold and vibrant colours such as orange and red. Take a chance on colour and take it on Classic Blue.
