Candy crushing on this season’s colour palette

Spring is here, and we are candy crushing!  Fun and flirty vibes have arrived, and I, for one, am so here for it!

These colours sit somewhere between soft hue pastel tones and vibrant deep shades, and they are the PERFECT injection of energy into your wardrobe this season!

Make sure to look for lemon yellow, pale dusty pink, ashy blues, mint green and soft mauves. These colours offer so much variety when creating a stylish and playful look and can be worked into your outfit to suit your complexion.

Because these tones are such a statement, I recommend sticking to a minimal yet bold style with silhouettes and accessories. In saying that, don’t be afraid to mix and match within the colour palette.

Candy tones are great put together in colour blocking sets – matching or not! To add a layer of softness to break it up, you can also incorporate a large print to match the block colour volume in an over shirt or neck scarf.

Because the colours are so large and full of life, my tip is to embrace this with bold shapes and a bold attitude. Look for maxi skirts, midi dresses and soft summer knitwear.

You will be ready for spring racing, summer parties and pure sunshine!

For those who are newbies to incorporating candy tones into your outfits, here is my tip for you – put the pop of colour in with your accessories.

Stick to your soft neutrals and B&W tones for your outfit base, but play with a candy pop in your hairpieces, shoes or bags. This will keep that minimalist effect of effortless style and feminine chic but offer that slight hint of playful and flirty energy in a small touch.

I am so excited to put my winter pieces away and welcome in the freshness of spring! Trust me when I say this, you’ll be candy crushing very soon, just like me!
